I know I've been scarce lately, and I really don't have much of an excuse besides school-work-boyfriend-friends, but really, those aren't excuses so much as everyday life (all of them enjoyable aside from work).
Things have been going alright. I'm unhappy at work, overall, but I have the occasional good day. I'm content with school (especially since I've been able to kick Summer Slacker Bex's butt and make her get into gear and focus on her assignments -- I think the fall weather helped), and I'm happy (as always) with friends and the like. Chad and I have been hanging out with Brent and Chella a lot lately, and that's been great... Especially the Labor Day cookout, complete with the George Foreman Grill plugged up outside via an extension cord and much Discovery-Channel watching thereafter, haha :-) Fun times, fun times.
I'm having one of those bad self-image days in which I just can't possibly be happy with any aspect of how I look, so I tried to counter-act that by wearing a skirt -- which hasn't helped my self-perception very much thus far today, but has kept me a lot cooler the m-fing blue-jeans, which are the worst things to wear in hot weather. Gotta love PMS and the emotional fluctuations it causes.
Anyway..
I suppose I'm going to cut this entry short because there seems to be a gathering of people right behind me who are printing from the library printer. I feel as though they are looming over my shoulder. Rar, go away.

Thank you SO much for this CD. It is now my Favorite CD Ever. I didn't realize music was tied to so many of the things we've done until memories just started flooding me as I listened. This is so great.

I wear a size ten. Just throwing that out there.
We (Kevin and I) also had the most ghetto movie experience of our lives at the $1.50 theatre tonight. Madagascar was hilarious, but the happenings in the theatre were even funnier -- the picture messing up and only showing the top fourth of the screen, the dust/fungus that was on the projector that made the screen's edge look like it was being eaten by Kudzu, the sound completely cutting off and everyone sitting in silence and staring at the animation on the screen, as though trying to decipher what the characters were saying -- I mean, I haven't laughed that hard in a WHILE. I declared to Kevin as we walked outside that you KNOW it's been when you feel like you've been ripped of $1.50 -- however, in retrospect, I think the amusement and observational humor more than made up for the lack of theatre quality.
Wow. Sleepiness hit me all at once. I'm actually slipping back into a semi-normal sleep schedule.
Other things from today lately:
-Classes have started back and I'm relieved. I was getting in another little depressive rut stage, and it's getting better!
-Chad's out of town for a couple of days; he's gone home to Alex City. Pout pout pout!
-I bought a jump drive ('bout freakin' time, I know) today at Wal-Mart. Geek goodness, I love that thing.
-...and sometimes happiness just means 128 ounces of beverage and some chocolate covered almonds.

The blinking cursor mocks me. Pardon my incomprehensiveness. Bahaha, I just made a word!
* Chad's home, which makes me happy. I practically jumped-clinged on him when he got in the other night. He laughed and said, "You didn't MISS me, did you?" Such a silly boy.
* Got new glasses, so now I can seeeeee!
* Something's going on tonight -- my thirst cannot be quenched. I've downed two diet cokes and three Propels in the past few hours. And I'm still thirsty.
* Cleaned and went through a lot of stuff in my bookshelf today -- realized I had a lot of borrowed books that I needed to redistribute. Mostly Jesse's.
* Rockin' some Pink Floyd.
* Going to Chellama & Brent's tomorrow sometime to watch their wedding video.
* SO ready for classes to start.
* Still hatin' the Star. But soon! Soon I shall job-hunt.
* I want another thunderstorm. I loved the one we had earlier.
* Yeah. I'm done now.
I admit it. I updated just because I haven't in a while. Obviously it wasn't because I had anything to say :-)

...went out with Joanna and had a smashing girls' day, with lots of running around and shopping and hair-cutting. I like her layers, even if the girl at Cost Cutters disapproved.
...came home, cleaned, ran errands for my parents, filed credit card statements and school paperwork.
...put my fall semester on a credit card, for lack of other funding.
...cried.
...listened to a lot of Grateful Dead, then felt better. Because they always do that.
...ate ridiculously sweet desserts with Matt and Mikee at Logan's.
...drove with my windows down and my music blasting and felt relieved.
...missed my sweetie.
